Welcome to the first installment of the BRACEUNDER blog. This blog will provide daily posts to help educate our readers on the fields of exercise and nutrition. Specifically, we hope to elucidate how these two topics can serve a role in the prevention of and recovery from musculoskeletal injuries. It is our intention to cover as many topics as possible especially those that are considered “hot topics” of debate in both fields. You are probably asking yourself “Who is this Chris guy and what makes him a credible source?” I would commend you if you did so as skepticism is a trait that we all need to find accurate information. Back to myself, I earned my BS in exercise science from the University of South Carolina and am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN). I will graduate in August with my MS in sports nutrition before beginning coursework to earn a PhD in exercise physiology this fall. I look forward connecting with our readers and utilizing my educational background to provide the most accurate and up to date information on chosen topics for discussion.
